1. Operation Information

The Rights Infringement Center serves as a channel through which copyright holders can request online service providers to prevent or stop copyright infringement. It also handles reports and provides counseling related to defamation and personal information theft to protect users’ rights. In addition, it accepts and provides consultation for reports of defamation and personal data misuse in order to protect users’ rights. The Company processes rights infringement reports in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Copyright Act of the Republic of Korea, the Protection of Computer Programs Act, and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection. However, in the case of copyright infringement reports related to overseas users or foreign works, the Company may review and handle such reports within a reasonable scope by referring to the relevant laws of the applicable jurisdiction and internationally recognized copyright infringement response procedures.

2. Compliance with Applicable Laws

Compliance with the Company’s Terms of Service and Policies
The Company complies with all applicable laws and regulations of the Republic of Korea, including the Copyright Act, the Protection of Computer Programs Act, and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection. However, in the case of copyright infringement reports involving overseas users or foreign works, the Company may review and process such reports within a reasonable scope by referring to the relevant laws of the applicable jurisdiction and internationally recognized copyright infringement response procedures.

3. Operation Policy

1) When requesting copyright protection or reporting infringement

- Upon receipt of a “Request to Suspend Reproduction/Transmission to an Online Service Provider” from the copyright holder, immediately suspend all reproduction and transmission.

- When a post is deleted or access to it is restricted due to copyright infringement, the Company shall notify or publicly announce such fact to the user who posted the content.

- The relevant details shall be registered in a copyright protection database, which shall be made available for users to search at any time.

- The Company shall conduct internal monitoring and, upon detecting matching materials, immediately delete them and take sanctions such as issuing warnings to individual users or suspending service.

- Technical protective measures for copyright protection, such as blacklist technology or search blocking, shall be implemented.

- The Company shall respond to the copyright claimant through the designated copyright administrator and cooperate in future copyright-related matters.

- If the person who was notified proves that their content is based on legitimate rights, reproduction or transmission of the content shall be reinstated.

- The Company shall operate a dedicated channel and appoint a responsible person to receive and process copyright protection requests.

2) When Personal Information Misuse or Defamation Reports

- To protect the rights and interests of users, when a report or consultation regarding a post or content is received, the operations manager shall verify the matter and take necessary actions such as restricting access (including deletion or suspension of posting) in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

- Reported cases shall be investigated to facilitate amicable dispute resolution between the parties involved, and additional sanctions may be imposed depending on the severity of the violation.

- The Company shall operate a dedicated channel and appoint a responsible person to handle disputes related to personal information misuse and defamation.

3) International Copyright Infringement Reporting Procedure (For Overseas Copyright Owners or Global Content)
If an overseas copyright owner believes that their copyrighted work has been infringed through the SOOP service, they may submit a report to the Company via the designated email address (dmca@sooplive.com) including the following information: A detailed description of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed The location of the allegedly infringing content (e.g., URL) The reporter’s name, affiliation (if acting as an agent), contact information, and email address A statement confirming that the report is made in good faith and based on factual information Documentation verifying that the reporter is the copyright owner or an authorized representative Upon review of the submitted report, if the Company determines that the infringement is evident, it may take measures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including restricting access to or removing the relevant content.
4) Counter-Notification and Content Reinstatement Procedure
If the uploader believes that the content subject to access restriction or removal due to a copyright infringement report is authorized or does not constitute infringement, the uploader may submit a counter-notification to the Company along with relevant supporting documentation. After reviewing the submitted materials, if the Company determines that the content was posted under legitimate rights, the Company may restore access to the content in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
5) Measures Against Repeat Infringement
If the same user repeatedly infringes the copyrights of others, the Company may take actions in accordance with applicable laws and service policies, including issuing warnings, restricting service usage, or terminating the user’s account.
6) Submission Method and Contact Information
International copyright infringement reports and related counter-notifications may be submitted via the Company’s designated email address (dmca@sooplive.com) or through the Rights Infringement Center. This Rights Infringement Center Policy and any disputes arising therefrom shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the courts of the Republic of Korea shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
